From Spark & Hustle to Clouds and Stars has partnered with Lifetime Moms to introduce you to some outstanding women. These women are a lot like you—they range from stay-at-home moms to successful career women, entrepreneurs and CEOs of their homes. They all attended Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle women’s conference this summer to learn more about growing their small business and found they learned something about themselves. We’ll feature one Lifetime Moms attendee from each city’s stop on the Spark & Hustle conference.

Meet Joan Henehan

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

A problem-free life probably only exists in fairy tales, but Joan Henehan can put you one step closer to that dream. Transforming challenging tasks into simple ones is what this Denver, Colorado mom does best. Her business, Clouds and Stars, Inc., designs, manufactures, and markets original products created to lessen the annoyance and hassle of necessary chores.

Imagine yourself struggling with the corners of your child’s bedding—the sheet’s malicious edges always finding a way to curl up and off the mattress. QuickZip®, the company’s first product, puts an end to the mischief. The redesigned sheet stays securely on the mattress (gone are strangulation or entrapment hazards or fears), and the top zips on and off to make changing the linens that much less daunting.

Clouds and Stars, Inc. is growing. They are designing more juvenile bedding products and introducing the brand’s name to more niche bedding markets, like home-health.

“Our creative product designs are unique, and our features are applicable and relevant to other markets, which potentially opens up a vastly expanded customer base,” Joan says.

Witness to the odd phenomenon of effortless success, Joan admires the phrase, “Spark & Hustle.” She is a true believer that it takes hard work and unfaltering commitment to transform a vision, a thought, a daydream into reality.

Thanks to an entrepreneur friend of hers, Joan discovered the high praise that Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle tour had received—so she attended for its information and networking opportunities, two things she is always after.

“I loved Tory’s no-nonsense message emphatically stating that it takes a lot of drive and energy to create a successful business,” Joan tells SUCCESS. “I learned from her and all the presenters that you can hustle, enjoy it, and do it with style.”
