Recipe: Blueberry Blast Smoothie


  • 2 cups plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground flaxseeds
  • Ice as needed


Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Use enough ice to make the smoothie cold and thick, but not watery.
Makes five one-cup servings.
Pro tip: To freeze a banana, peel it, then put it in a tightly sealed plastic bag and leave it overnight.
