Jennifer Perri’s journey from hardship to empowerment embodies resilience, transformation and a commitment to purposeful leadership. As a certified divorce and empowerment coach, financial therapist and founder of SHERO Life & Empowerment Coaching, Jennifer has dedicated her career to guiding women through life’s most challenging transitions—particularly divorce. Her personal trials and victories have profoundly shaped her approach to helping others rebuild their lives emotionally and financially.

From Personal Struggles To Professional Empowerment

Jennifer’s entry into the world of coaching was forged out of necessity. Growing up in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, Jennifer faced the turmoil of her parents’ divorce during her senior year of high school. This upheaval marked the beginning of a series of life-altering events. “My parents’ divorce was the first time I saw my world shatter,” Jennifer reflects. “It forced me to confront life’s harsh realities at a young age.”

A subsequent toxic marriage further threatened her emotional and financial stability. After enduring years of abuse, Jennifer escaped with her two children, facing the daunting task of rebuilding her life from scratch. “I was raising my kids with no child support because their father was incarcerated. Financially and emotionally, I was adrift,” she admits. But from this low point, Jennifer discovered her strength. She entered the finance world 24 years ago driven by a need to master money management. “I couldn’t find anyone who understood what I was going through, so I became the person I needed but couldn’t find.”

Jennifer’s personal journey of financial recovery laid the foundation for SHERO Life & Empowerment Coaching, where she now helps women not only survive but also thrive after divorce. Her unique blend of financial expertise and empowerment coaching offers a holistic approach that addresses both the emotional and financial complexities of divorce.

The Power Of Financial Therapy In Divorce

A distinctive element of Jennifer’s practice is her integration of financial therapy into her coaching. Divorce often brings financial uncertainty, from asset division to managing debt and adjusting to a single-income household. Jennifer believes that financial empowerment starts not with spreadsheets but by addressing the emotional relationship individuals have with money.

“Many people emerge from a divorce feeling disconnected from their finances,” she explains. “It’s not just about learning to budget—it’s about understanding why they feel disempowered when it comes to money.” Through financial therapy, Jennifer helps clients explore their financial histories, beliefs and behaviors. By doing so, she uncovers any fears or limiting beliefs that might be hindering them. “Once those emotional blocks are addressed, we can build a solid foundation for financial health.”.

Jennifer recounts working with a client who felt overwhelmed by the financial aspects of her divorce. “She was disconnected from her finances and terrified about her future. We worked on understanding her money personality, building a budget and creating a financial strategy aligned with her goals.” This client’s transformation was striking—she went from feeling powerless to purchasing her own home and starting a small business. “That’s the impact of combining financial therapy with empowerment coaching,” Jennifer asserts. “It’s about giving people the tools they need to regain control of their lives.”

Turning Wounds Into Wisdom

Jennifer’s success as a coach is attributed not only to her financial expertise but also to her ability to connect with clients on a deeply personal level. “I’ve been through what they’ve been through,” she says. “I know what it’s like to feel stuck, powerless and lost.” Her CAPE Method, which stands for Clarity, Alignment, Passion and Empowerment, reflects her personal philosophy. This methodology emphasizes the importance of clarity in one’s goals, aligning actions with true purpose and empowering women to take decisive, confident action.

“My clients aren’t just seeking financial advice—they want to rebuild their lives,” Jennifer explains. “And that requires more than just practical strategies. It’s about rediscovering their inner strength.” Her holistic approach helps women regain confidence and redefine their identities post-divorce. Whether guiding them through asset division, debt management or emotional recovery, Jennifer offers comprehensive support that touches every facet of her clients’ lives.

Empowerment Through Financial Independence

Financial independence is a cornerstone of Jennifer’s empowerment philosophy. She believes that when women take control of their finances, they also regain control of their lives. “Financial independence isn’t just about having money—it’s about having choices,” she emphasizes. “It allows women to make decisions from a place of strength, not fear.”.

Jennifer helps her clients establish new financial identities by educating them on asset division, debt management and budgeting, ensuring they have a clear path to financial stability. “One of the most common challenges women face during divorce is the fear of not being able to support themselves,” she says. “I work with them to overcome that fear by helping them build a solid financial foundation.”.

This empowerment extends beyond Jennifer’s coaching sessions into her role as a threefive-time best-selling author. Her latest book, Divorce Decoded: A Manifesto for Women Navigating Divorce & Beyond, is an extension of her coaching practice, providing readers with practical strategies and emotional support. “I hope readers walk away with a sense of hope and confidence,” Jennifer shares. “Divorce doesn’t have to be the end—it can be a new beginning.”.

A Journey Of Resilience And Triumph

Jennifer’s story is a testament to the power of resilience. In December 2021, she faced another life-altering challenge when diagnosed with Guillain-Barré sSyndrome, a rare condition that left her paralyzed from the shoulders down. “It was one of the most difficult times in my life,” she reflects. “But I refused to let it define me.” Through intensive rehabilitation, she regained her mobility and continued her work as an empowerment coach, demonstrating that adversity only strengthens her resolve.

Today, Jennifer Perri stands as a beacon of empowerment for women navigating divorce and life’s challenges. Her coaching practice, grounded in personal experience and professional expertise, has helped women throughout the country rebuild with confidence, clarity and financial independence. As the founder of SHERO Life & Empowerment Coaching, Jennifer’s mission is clear: to empower women to become the sheroes of their own stories.
