When Louis Krubich founded MALKA Media studio ten years ago, brands were just being introduced to social strategy and affordable content creation. Equipment was cheaper than ever, including cameras, software and other technology, and the audience was becoming more comfortable with low production values.

Krubich now recognizes that the industry is saturated—everyone can be a content creator. But he knows how to ramp up content strategy for everyone from small businesses to large companies.

On this week’s episode, Krubich talks with Brilliant Thoughts host Tristan Ahumada about how he works with creators and brands to grow their influence and businesses. Recently, he signed Tony Hawk and has worked with a wide range of celebrities, like Adam Sandler, Mike Tyson and Lizzo, and large brands such as Amazon and Showtime.

According to Krubich, livestreaming has rapidly expanded since the pandemic, leading him to triple the size of his company’s livestream department. “Livestream brings much more value in terms of CPMs than traditional YouTube kind of episodes,” he explains.

Krubich discusses the difference between the platforms, including why he anchors content to YouTube and how he’s building channels on TikTok. He also talks about content distribution, microinfluencers, getting brand sponsorships, using newsletters and how to get started as a smaller organization.
