Express gratitude for the challenges, the obstacles and the failures in your life. Know that you learned from those things.


How do you destroy the habit of complaining? One word: gratitude. It’s easy to focus on all of the negative things you may be faced with in life, but the best way to cut the habit of complaining is to cultivate a habit of gratitude.

To do this, start by keeping a gratitude journal. Write down three things that you are thankful for each and every day—but don’t just focus on the good things. It’s important to also be thankful for the unexpected things in life because that is what shapes us into who we are, almost like blessings in disguise. So challenge yourself to change your attitude and remember to be thankful for all that you have. If you do this, you’ll absolutely kill the habit of complaining.
