The New Career Path

The New Career Path

Many of us hold ourselves back and settle for job security instead of leaning into our passions or following nontraditional career paths, but that ‘what if’ is going to stay in the back of your mind until you take action.

You are a freelancer, whether you work in an organization or whether you go out and get your own clients.

There are so many people who are worried about following a nontraditional career path, perhaps becoming freelance. But you are a freelancer whether you work in an organization or go out and get your own clients.

Many of us hold ourselves back and settle for job security instead of leaning into our passions or following nontraditional career paths, but that “what if” is going to stay in the back of your mind until you take action.

So, acknowledge the fact that there is really no such thing as a traditional, safe career path anymore. Instead, look to embrace the fact that you are a freelancer and you have skills that are valuable. Ask yourself, Who can I serve with the skills that I have? If your answer leads to an nontraditional career path, perhaps writing or acting or music, just know that many people have succeeded at this before you. Why should you be any different?

You can succeed doing anything you put your mind to as long as it comes from the heart.
