The Secret to Stories That Move People

Reflecting on the values that guide every SUCCESS® story we share.

Dear SUCCESS family,

Ever wonder what makes an article impactful? Why we choose certain people to highlight in our magazines over others? Well, it's not as tricky as you might think.

After 30 years in the magazine business, my mantra remains the same: Create content that truly moves people. No matter who the audience, what the platform, or the time or season, stories that make you think, feel and take action are the ones that pique our interest.

When we decide which voices or stories to feature, we always ask: Will this make a meaningful impact on our readers? Recently, after reading letters from readers who felt motivated to start new ventures or make bold career shifts because of something they read in SUCCESS® magazine, I had one of those "This is what SUCCESS® is all about" moments. It reminded me that our mission isn't just to report on success—it's to help people create it.

As an editor and leader, I've learned that true thought leadership in today's digital age isn't about who speaks the loudest; it's about who speaks with authenticity and purpose. A modern-day SUCCESS® leader is someone who:

  • Leads with integrity
  • Embraces growth
  • Inspires others

Leading a creative, remote editorial team has also taught me the importance of connection—listening deeply, celebrating wins together, and trusting the process, even when technology changes faster than we can write about it.

So, as we turn the page into another exciting season at SUCCESS®, I can't help but reflect on how far we've come—both as a brand and as a community. That's why I'm thrilled to share some exciting updates from behind the scenes here at SUCCESS®. Right now, our team is buzzing with energy as we release the newest digital edition of SUCCESS® Magazine featuring Rory Vaden—available today for all SUCCESS+™ members. If you haven't already, be sure to log into your SUCCESS+ account to explore the issue and check out the free flipbook!

We're also celebrating the success of our recent Russell Brunson Legacy issue, which you can still find on newsstands nationwide, and in your SUCCESS+ account. And last, but not least, we've launched our new SUCCESS® Pitch app where you can submit your success stories to our team for consideration.

If there's one mindset shift I hope you'll carry into next month, it's this: Success isn't about keeping up—it's about showing up. Embrace change, stay curious, and keep investing in your growth.
