Unsurprisingly, I'm excited about how technology is being used in the marketing industry. Whereas before, technology was used primarily to interrupt our daily lives with unwanted marketing messages (spam is a good example), we're now seeing increased focus on using technology to better understand customers and create compelling content that is useful and engaging. The industry is becoming less and less intrusive and as a result, increasingly effective.

HBO Go and the Showtime app are my favorites for catching up on TV; my husband and I also love the Netflix app for watching movies.

I am loving the newly launched “TWEAK IT Together” community site, which extends the learning and support beyond the pages of the book. It’s great to have a place to share my tweaks with others and to hear what they are doing. Together we can start the TWEAK IT revolution!

I like natural user experiences, especially this new breed of gesture-based interfaces we're seeing on mobile. Apps like Clear, Rise, Solar and Mailbox are killing it. No unnecessary buttons, menus or explanation. Just simple and beautiful navigation made specifically for the platform. It might not be for everyone, and I know this type of experience can't extend to all apps and software, but I'm curious to see folks continue to push the boundaries and create this next generation of products.
