How Do You Practice Self-Love?

Selflovetips

Justin 020817 Ja Headshots162132 4 GreyI take time for reflection in the mornings before visiting the office or in the evenings after a long day. I also set aside time before or after a business trip to immerse myself in a local culture. And I maintain a positive outlook no matter what challenges are presented.

Lisa Curtis Headshot GreyI sleep eight hours a night, exercise for at least one hour per day, meditate every morning and eat an extremely healthy diet. A lot of people don’t think they have time to practice this type of self-love. I’ve found that my happiness and productivity are directly tied to how well I’m taking care of myself.

Geoffrey GreyThis is probably one of my bigger struggles. I’ve always been programmed to give everything I’ve got to my business, my wife or my kids. I’m a work in progress.

Shay Headshot GreyIt’s all about making time to give myself what I need. It can be anything from carving out a few minutes of alone time to treating myself to a new bottle of wine.

Takeo Spikes Grey 1My strategy from day to day is starting my morning off with at least 10 minutes of uninterrupted meditation. I remind myself that Rome was not built in a day, nor was my business plan and strategy. I have to remind myself to celebrate the small victories along the way in order to focus on the bigger picture—winning.

Shelley Zalis Headshot V3 GreyWe each lead one life with many dimensions, including work, family, community, friends and ourselves—and most of us tend to put that last one on the back burner. To me, self-love means affirming that I am just as important as all my other dimensions, and carving out time just for me.
