Jay Brakefield

Brakefield worked for more than 40 years as a newspaper writer and copy editor, including almost 18 years at the Dallas Morning News. He is now retired and freelancing while living near Bryan, Texas. He is the co-author, with Alan Govenar, a book on Dallas' Deep Ellum district that has recently been reprinted by Texas A&M Press as Deep Ellum: The Other Side of Dallas.
