QuickHit: What Would You Do If You Weren't Afraid?

Proceed boldly forward!

We had just toured Facebook headquarters with a group of magazine editors. Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and other Facebook executives spoke to us in a conference room lined with motivational wall-sized slogans. Back on the bus, my boss Susan Kane and I opened our souvenir boxes. Among the goodies were computer-screen cloths printed with mantras similar to those we had seen inside.

Mine read: Proceed Boldly Forward. Susan’s read: What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid?

“Oh, this pushes my buttons,” she said.

“Do you want to trade?” I asked.

“No, I like it,” she said. Then turning to me, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid, if you don’t mind my asking?”

I’m still pondering my answer. What about you?

I would be fearless in my acts , every single product or service in inteded to sell or donate I would have done it, every single door of opputunty I would have shubbed my foot through it, every Phone call I was suppose to make every app I was going to make , every snack I would put off tell I deserve it, every piece of advice I could have given, every new friend I could have made , every assignment I could have turned in every task I could have performed to the best of my ability. But now that's all in the past! I just hope want ,will change how I do things becuase me a twenty year old kid tje richest nation in the world is broke and in debt 7 thousands dollars ! How does it happen ? Walking in the wrong shoes my friend, the wrong shoes. Although my dreams do consest of changing these worthless habits , it's slowly happening, but for the meantime I'm not going to pull my hair out . Just do what I can for the moment . To succeed in mylife as a musician success, and successful in family health an wealth , to learn to raise my kids a younger siblings on how to live a lovely life.

A great question and all too often, many will answer with: Depends!

No fear

I would step out of my box, my comfort zone and dream and live big. Every thought, idea, I would pursue passionately and intelligently. I would be like a sponge and absorb everything I can to improve and better my self worth and knowledge. Then I would help others do the same for themselves.

I would clean up my home office!

Hi, And that's about correct. I have great ideas, and get some things done. But I am of the mindset (on paper anyway) that a clutter house is a cluttered mind. I truly dislike my cluttered room, but I am afraid to upgrade putting papers away as well reorganizing the room because it would take from doing all the other priorities. Yes, a swift "kick" in the pants is probably what would work best. In the meantime I will humble myself with this comment. Thanks
