Thank you for writing that article. It certainly hit home with me. I have heard the expression "reinventing yourself" before; but I guess I never felt the need to put much thought into it until recently. The four words, "Do Work That Matters" will be my new motto. Thank you again.

I have always suffered from what you call the LIZARD. But I am an artist and I am on the right track I think - starting University last year aged 50. I want to reinvent myself totally, including externally.

I have been working for my family company since i could answer a telephone. Now that the economy took a turn for the worse, we as a family buisness are having a hard time getting along. I'm the youngest and am good at what i do but since i'm a female, they are convinced i need to sit back and let the men take over. This article is brilliant and thoroughly describes my journey this past year. Excellent advice with realistic possibilities.

What an interstign article. I have been working on my own renewal and yes I pause on the laugh word. I worry about this and the one thing I know that needs to be dealt with is this pescky little resistence woice saying well no one as bought your art so maybe you are not going to succeed. I need to keep at it and keep going. I want to think of my business as a way to connect with peole and make a difference. I think about social media and how it can make me get exposure. But I want to expand by making connections and being involved with blogs and popele that help me connect.I recently read that if you follow what you love and have passion you can succeed. I understand tha you have to have resisitence but how do you reprogram yorself. I guess if you tell yourself you can and be positive eventually you will believe what you think and start living it. You are your thought right. Oh I am working on my long term goals for my business. I am begining with the end in mind. I have a list and am lookng for an easy way to organize them,track and implement them. I have always thought day to day and month to month but never really had long term goals? This is my problem.

Especially enjoyed the last tip. The day you stop pulling 'all-nighters" in life, all learning, growth and transformation is basically over. At some point believe that they should have to do that anymore. If you want what others do not have, then you have to do what others will not do.

This is exactly where I am now. I will try to refer to this in my transition daily. Thank you.
